3 Ways to Exponentially Leverage Good Content

If you are like most small business owners, you know how important it is to have good content on your website. However, if you are like most small business owners, you also may have put off investing in the very best content available because you felt you simply could not make it work in your budget. Most business owners realize content marketing is imperative, but they do not know how to get the most “bang for their buck” when investing in content.

How to leverage good content

Here are 3 ways to exponentially leverage good content so every single piece of content has the best reach possible:

  1. Turn blog posts into podcasts

The Wall Street Journalrecently made it official: Podcasts are the “new self-help books” for today’s solution-seekers. While most people think a podcast has to be an hour long like its older relative, the radio program, the truth is that some of the most popular podcasts online today are as short as five minutes! Simply recording your articles and blog posts in audio form will enable you to launch your own highly effective podcast – and reach people without the time or inclination to read your content at the same time!

  1. Get more mileage with infographics

Your content creators put a lot of time, effort, and research into the work they do for you. Make sure that information can be absorbed by visual learners with an effective infographic. The odds are good your content creative team has a graphic designer on staff or, if you prefer, you can use your own. Studies show infographics not only are among the most-likely-to-go-viral types of content, but that they bring the content behind them with them when they do. That means more views for your website and more search traffic as well.

  1. Post the article on multiple platforms

If you are not posting your content on LinkedIn using that platform’s own article system, then you are leaving views “on the table” instead of getting those eyes on your business. Most companies post links to their blogs to their business pages, but you should not only be posting links. Republish at least part of the article on LinkedIn on your personal and business pages. Then, link to your website so readers have to click to read the end of your compelling content.

There are hundreds of ways to magnify your online reach if you have a good base of content to work with. Your content manager can help you get the most out of every article you commission, or your content strategy team can provide ideas as well. The one thing you cannot afford to do is try to promote your website, your business, or yourself with sub-par content. Then, you magnify the negative instead of the positive!
